Decade Watch 2010

The assessment of the Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005 – 2015 (Decade) in the Republic of Macedonia is part of the project “Decade Watch Macedonia 2010: On the half way of the Roma Decade (MK Decade Watch 2010)”. The project is supported by the Roma Initiatives Office of the Open Society Institute from Budapest and it is implemented by the Initiative for Social Inclusion – InSoC. It is part of the regional Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005 – 2015 monitoring initiative named DecadeWatch.

Report on Minority Rights in a Multiethnic Environment

The aim of the Report on the Minority Rights in the Multiethnic Environment in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is to describe the current situation of the national minorities’ rights, based on the situations and events in this field. The assertions contained in this report represent the opinions of Mr. Samet Skenderi, Director of the Initiative for Social Change (InSoC) of Skopje, on the current situation of the rights of the national minorities in the country.

BARRIERS TO ENROLLMENT AND CONTINUING OF EDUCATION AMONG YOUNG ROMA

This research was done for the purposes of implementation of the activity: ” Review of measures taken in the Republic of Macedonia to improve access of Roma children in schools to prevent dropouts and security in their success in school ” by using methods for defining barriers to enroll and continuing education of young Roma and analysis of all programs and projects that were aimed at improving the education of Roma, such as, reducing barriers faced by Roma in the educational process.

PENGESATË REGJISTRIMIN DHE VAZHDIMIN E ARSIMIT TE TË RINJTË ROMË

Ky hulumtim u zhvillua për qëllimet e aktivitetit: “Pasqyrë e masave të ndërmarra në Republikën e Maqedonisë për përmirësimin e përfaqësimit të fëmijëve romë nëpër shkolla, pengimi i largimit nga shkollat dhe siguria për suksesin e tyre në shkollë”. Projekti u realizua duke përdorur metoda, me të cilat bëhet përcaktim i barrierave për regjistrimin dhe vazhdimin e arsimit nga ana e romëve. Njëkohësisht u bë analizë e të gjitha programeve dhe projekteve, të cilat ishin të orientuara drejt përmirësimit të arsimit të romëve, gjegjësisht për zvogëlimin e pengesave me të cilat ballafaqohen romët në procesin arsimor.

БАРИЕРИ ЗА ЗАПИШУВАЊЕ И ПРОДОЛЖУВАЊЕ НА ОБРАЗОВАНИЕТО КАЈ МЛАДИТЕ РОМИ

За целите на спроведување на активноста:„Преглед на мерките превземени во Република Македонија за подобрување на пристапот на ромските деца во училиштата, да се спречи осипување и безбедноста во нивниот успех во училиштата” направено беше ова истражување со методи за дефинирање на бариерите за запишување и продолжување на образованието на младите Роми и анализа на сите програми и проекти кои беа насочени кон подобрување на образованието на Ромите, односно намалување на препреките со кои се соочуваат Ромите во образовниот процес.

PGF Report 2011-2014

This report is result of the monitoring of the projects supported by PGF – Project Generation Facility -an intervention of “Making the Most of EU Funds for Roma” (MtM), an initiative of OSI Budapest, which seeks to connect achievement of Roma inclusion objectives to EU development resources. The project begun with its implementation in 2011 by Macedonian Center for International Cooperation – MCIC and Association Initiative for Social Change – InSoC, and is currently in the application stage for the next Year 4 (2015). During these years of its implementation, PGF supported in total 132 project ideas, selected and prepared 106 project application of which in total 26 applications were approved with total budget of 1,719,067.00 €.
